Your 6 Days Uganda Safari begins with a scenic drive from Entebbe or Kampala towards western Uganda and the beautiful landscapes surrounding Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes you through rural countryside, rolling hills, local communities, and changing landscapes as you approach the primate capital of the world.

Upon arrival in the Kibale area, you can relax at your lodge and enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, you may have an opportunity to visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can enjoy birdwatching and a community experience.

After breakfast, you will head into Kibale Forest National Park for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Guided by experienced trackers, you will walk through the ancient rainforest searching for chimpanzee communities while discovering the incredible biodiversity of this protected ecosystem.
After the trek, you will continue your journey towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The short transfer offers beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes, and Uganda’s countryside.
Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy an evening game drive or relax at your lodge overlooking the wilderness.

6 Days Uganda Safari

 

Today you explore the diverse landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most famous wildlife destinations. The morning begins with a game drive across the Kasenyi plains, an area known for large concentrations of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife.
In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and provides excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants along the shoreline, and numerous bird species.

After breakfast, your safari continues south through the scenic Ishasha sector, located in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions and beautiful savannah landscapes.
You will enjoy a game drive through Ishasha while searching for wildlife before continuing towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through spectacular mountain scenery as you approach the home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

6 days Uganda Safari

 

Today is the highlight of your 6 Days Uganda Safari as you enter the ancient Bwindi rainforest for mountain gorilla trekking. After an early breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority guides before starting your forest adventure.

The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend a magical hour observing their behaviour, taking photographs, and experiencing one of Africa’s most unforgettable wildlife encounters.

After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy the beautiful forest surroundings.

After breakfast, you will begin your journey back depending on your departure plans.
For travellers flying internationally, we recommend ending in Kigali due to the shorter transfer time. Alternatively, the safari can continue back to Entebbe for flights departing from Uganda.
The final drive offers beautiful views of southwestern Uganda’s landscapes, local communities, and countryside.
