4. Kidepo Valley National Park Africa's Most Wild & Remote Safari

Semuliki National Park in the remote Bundibugyo District protects the only true lowland Congo Basin rainforest in East Africa. 10. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Meet Uganda's Only Wild Rhinos on Foot

Rhinos were hunted to extinction in Uganda by 1983. Today, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola District is the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos and uniquely, you track them entirely on foot. You approach on foot to within just a few metres of an animal weighing up to 2,300 kilograms. Standing in the open African bush with a massive white rhino grazing metres away, close enough to hear it breathe, is one of the most thrillingly intimate wildlife encounters anywhere in Africa.
